Latest Tricks

Caitlyn has been lifting up on all fours this past week. She makes it look like she's doing push-ups.

Catie can also sit up by herself. We still use the boppy so she doesn't tip over as much.

She's sound asleep in this picture. Her waterfall soother continues to be her favorite toy and she holds it even in her sleep.

Yesterday we started Caitlyn on rice cereal. She wasn't sure what to think of it.

First Time Camping

This weekend we went camping at William O'Brien State Park on the St. Croix River (about an hour and a half north of Minneapolis). It's the first time Catie has been camping and she loved it!

Catie slept with us in our small 2-person tent. We have never had her sleep with us before. Chris and I just clung to the edges of the tent and let her sprawl out in the middle. We're lucky that she's such a good sleeper.

We took this toy that we borrowed from the Iversons (thanks Brittany!). Caitlyn loves it because she's able to see everything that's going on around her. The hat that she's wearing in this picture belonged to Chris when he was her age.

Making Lots of Noise

Catie has been saying "Baa", "Gaa", "Maa", and "Daa" for a few weeks now. She's quite the little talker.

Baby Mood Swings

Catie rolls her tongue almost every time she smiles. It's really cute.

This is the 1st time Caitlyn sat all by herself. Most of her weight is on her hands and she's practically folded in half, but she's doing it. :)

Always Learning New Things

This video really makes Chris and I laugh. The poor cow sounds like it's in pain. She chewed on the pig next and actually broke it by chewing on it so much. It no longer makes any sound.

This toy frustrates her sometimes because she can't get to the balls.

Caitlyn doesn't always use only her mouth to play with her toys. She does a pretty good job using her hands and fingers too. I'm so impressed with her in this video.



But of course Catie's favorite "toys" are her mom and dad.

Catie sleeps on her stomach, just like her daddy.

I can't imagine that this is comfortable.

We get a kick out of watching Caitlyn sporadically space out when she's in the ExerSaucer.

Trying to Crawl

I started filming this because I thought it was funny how she rolled over on top of her toy. But then she pushed up on her feet, which I had never seen her do before. Caitlyn's trying so hard to crawl. I also enjoy listening to her try to talk.

We have been playing with toys almost non-stop this week. Her motor control skills have sure come a long way.
