Welcome Caitlyn Grace!

The title says it all, here are some pictures of the little one. Some of these are before they bathed her so she looks kind of beat up. The video at the bottom is immediately after she was born.

Arriving at the hospital

Here we are at the hospital, waiting for baby to come. We got here at 5:00 on Monday afternoon. They gave Camie some drugs to prepare her for labor. After that she actually started having some contractions, which increased in strength throughout the night. At 6:30 the next morning they started giving her pitosin to really get the process going. At 7:30 she got an epidural, and at 8:30 started pushing. By 9:03 baby was here!

This video was shot RIGHT before Camie started pushing, around 8:30 in the morning. It was kind of funny because she was completely dilated but her water hadn't broken yet, so when it did break I could hear the pop from halfway across the room. She could hear it too and thought it was pretty cool. Notice how comfortable she is so soon before delivery, hooray epidural!

Ready to go to the hospital

As you can see, we've got the crib set up, toys and clothes in a row, and three little stockings hung by the fireplace. Camie's belly is as big as it's going to get. We're ready to go to the hospital and welcome our new baby to the world.
