Talk to me

Caitlyn is a very happy baby, and she likes to talk about it. The doctor was surprised this week at how vocal she is for a two-month old. She's always cooing, smiling, giggling, and making all sorts of other cute noises. Here's an example, watch for her to mimic me near the end of the video. - Chris

My Valentines

Camie, Caitlyn and I went to a dance at the stake center for Valentine's day. Here's some pictures of the happy girls. - Chris

Change she can believe in.

I think our baby's a democrat. That or she just really likes the sound of Obama's voice. We lay her on the floor in front of the TV to play sometimes, and every time Obama comes on she perks right up and starts making happy noises like she's trying to talk to him. - Chris

Say hi to the camera.

Caitlyn likes to walk around and see what's going on. Sometimes she takes in so many new sights this way that she gets tired and falls asleep. This time though, it's clear that she's working on something while we walk around. If you listen carefully you'll hear that effort come to fruition near the end of the video, right after I say "say hi to the camera."

Fingernails

I'm trying to trim her fingernails and she is very upset about having her sleep interrupted. I think it's funny to see how fast she falls back asleep after I stop each time. Apparently she was pretty tired.

Don't worry, I got this.

So here's Caitlyn and I's new trick. I (Chris) like to sit her down in my hand and see how long she can balance there, then let her fall into the other hand (so don't worry when she falls out of the video frame at the end, she's okay). Last week we showed off our trick at a dinner social and all the women were freaking out. The baby seems to enjoy it though.

A little of everything...

The lighting isn't very good because we were trying to get her to calm down and get her to sleep, but this video has a little of everything. Smiles, grunts, spit-up, and other adorable little noises, here's a few minutes with Caitlyn.

There's a toy on my face.

The baby was so fast asleep that I (Chris) decided to play "how big of an object can I balance on baby's face?" The winner was this toy that is supposed to attach to a high-chair. It suction cupped to her forehead nicely. She didn't even stir.

The Chap-Stick was an initial attempt.
